Scholarship Announcement

Don’t miss this opportunity to help fund your college education! The Friends of the Library of Windham (F.L.O.W.) is pleased to once again offer the F.L.O.W Annual Scholarship and the F.L.O.W. Mary Long Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 each. Applications are now available at the Nesmith Library, Salem High School or online.

These scholarships are awarded to a high school senior who is a Windham resident. A minimum 3.0 grade point average is required, as well as three letters of reference.

Applicants for the F.L.O.W. Annual Scholarship may be enrolled in any college degree program. Applicants for the F.L.O.W. Mary Long Scholarship must be enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Art, Dance. Drama/Theatre, Music, Creative Writing, Communications, Broadcast Journalism, History, Art History, Architecture, Museum Studies, Art Conservation, Film or Graphic Arts.

Completed applications may be dropped off at the Nesmith Library until Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Strawberry Festival and Book Fair on June 7th. Please call Lisa Thornton at 434-3434 for additional information.
