The Friends of the Library of Windham are gearing up for the 2015 Strawberry Festival and Book Fair on Saturday, May 30, 2015. It will take place at Windham High School from 10:00am – 4:00pm. This event will feature games, entertainment, raffles, information booths and even a dodgeball arena! There will also be plenty of delicious food for purchase provided by many local establishments, to include the Festival’s signature strawberry shortcake. The festival is the major fundraiser for the Nesmith Library and its’ success is the reason that F.L.O.W. is able to sponsor museum passes, children and adult programming, scholarships – just to name a few!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Amanda Laws and Michelle Stith at email@example.com. We hope to see you there!
CALLING YOUNG ARTISTS AGES 12 AND UNDER!
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL AND BOOK FAIR DESIGN CONTEST
The Friends of the Library of Windham need young artists to help create the official logo for the 2015 Strawberry Festival and Book Fair! Please help your budding artist enter this year’s Strawberry Festival and Book Fair Design Contest and see their masterpiece used on all of the posters and advertisements for the festival. Windham’s largest annual town festival offers a day of fun for children and their families and what better way to promote the Festival than through the drawings of young children!
The design contest is for ages 12 and under. Help your child to enter the contest using the following guidelines:
* Submit artwork on an 8 ½” by 11” piece of blank white paper.
* Markers, crayons, paint, or even computer software may be used. Please do not use pencils.
* Keep in mind that strawberries, books, and community are the themes of the Strawberry Festival and Book Fair.
Submissions should be turned in by Monday, May 4th to the front desk of the Nesmith Library. Please include your child’s name, age, and phone number on the back of their design.
All of the masterpieces will be displayed at the Festival which will be held at Windham High School on Saturday, May 30th.
